[BUG] Push notifications keep working even when "Periodically check for new messages" and "Reddit Push Notifications" are both disabled

Describe the bug
After disabling both "Periodically check for new messages" and "Reddit Push Notifications", I keep getting reddit notifications regularly as if I still had "Periodically check for new messages" set to 1 Hour.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click on Messaging
  3. Set "Periodically check for new messages" to "Off"
  4. Toggle "Reddit Push Notifications" Off
  5. Wait for new Sync notifications

Expected behavior
Notifications shouldn't be received

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: Pixel 4a
  • Android: 13
  • Sync version: v23.02.18-12:19 (23026)
  • Sync variant: Pro
