[BUG] Error merging video and audio files

Describing the bug Whenever I try to download a video I get this error message saying there was an error merging video and audio files.

Device: S22+ Sync: v22.4.16

I have had the exact same issue with version 22.4.16

I highly suspect its due to android versions. I get this issue when using android 8.1, but my brother's phone running android pie is fine.

If its not able to be fixed, I'm fine with that. I found a workaround by sharing the video link to the reddit downloader app and downloading it from there.

Facing the same error, I believe the issue is not with downloading the video. The audio is fine during playback, so it's only the merge A+V function which seems to fail.

Images and gif has no issues downloading, although gif downloads are actually mp4 files without audio. Can't find any .gif to test, even content from r/gifs are actutally .mp4 without audio.

I'm on MIUI too (v12.5.6), ~~so atleast we know it's ROM specific.~~ OP had it in Samsung (One UI?), and I tried it in emulator, so it's not really MIUI specific.

Also, is there a 'download all' feature to download all media from a post that I'm missing?

May I know the OS and the CPU arch you're using? Isn't there a way for users to provide logs that you can work with? If not, can you try using an emulator to replicate the issue?

have the same issue, sync 2302, poco x3 pro with a13 pixel experience plus rom (maybe custom rom specific?) every video I try to download-error merging video and audio files

I have the same issue but only with the PRO (No Ads) version. The Free (with Ads) version works fine for me.
