Describe the bug
Get the no messages returned message and it will not go away without restarting the app when using drawer navigation. Unable to swipe it away.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enable drawer navigation
  2. Enable sliding panel style drawer
  3. Open messages when you have no new ones.
  4. Get No messages returned error

Expected behavior
should be able to swipe error away or have a close button on error.
