Same issue described here: #22

@CrHasher Mmmh strange, I couldn't replicate the bug. Let me check.

I noticed it is not 100% repro at every reboot. From time to time the config is cleared and I will let you know if I find the reason or repro steps.

Did nothing special but happened again see screenshot: Screenshot 2023-04-29 111433

I also noticed when monitor is suspended (aka. goes black without fully shutting down) it inactivates dwmlut sometimes, dwmlutGUI says the LUT changed, have to press apply to apply it or press Pause. Screenshot 2023-04-29 144705

@CrHasher Ok, I will investigate. Did it happen after a PC reboot, or just after the Dwm loader reboot?

Found out the two issues with suspend and settings getting lost are related so in order to reproduce you have to get that Active (Changed) state leave it like that don't hit Apply and Reboot, then you loose the settings. This is at least one way to repro or might be the only way to repro.

Can confirm the issue (Win 10, 22H2). I turned the display off while the app was open, then turned it on. The display in the list was gone, after restarting the app it appeared again, but the path to the LUT disappeared. (but the applied LUT was visually preserved, possibly it would be there until the PC restart).

Also I've noticed but wasn't be able to reproduce an issue when I turned off one of the displays and tried to open the app, but it didn't work (nothing opened without any errors, DwmLutGUI.exe wasn't in Task Manager), when I turned the display on, it opened again without issues, but it doesn't always help. What does help every time is deleting the config.xml file.

I know this thread is old. but i thought i'd share. i also have this issue and have done some digging without a true resolve. every reboot, and as stated, sometime waking from sleep; my config gets reset/needs to be deleted. i have noticed that this is directly related to the "drivers?" It seems that windows on each launch chooses a diffrent/duplicate driver for the monitor. it seems to switch back to the original if i replug in the monitor/s but, i still have to reapply the LUT. I'm not sure why this happens, but i noticed this when trying to mess with CRT, OLED, and LCD refresh rates and resolutions. Which those only appear on the original upon an unplug / replug. ill attach an image just so you all know what i'm looking at and may have some more info.

EDIT:i should note, there are only 2 monitors here. The CRT has an adapter which sometimes windows decides to detect instead of the actual P991. My 2 other PCs have this same issue and they have standard LCD monitors. one being a DELL. Screenshot 2024-07-19 154009
