Option --multivariate-generating-function ignored with 0-dimensional/empty polytopes

The attached file specifies a 0-dimensional region consisting of a single point (-2,3). When I process it using

count --multivariate-generating-function test.txt

I get no output file test.txt.rat; the output ends with "The number of lattice points is 1."
