Provide a way to flush cache on failure indication

From section 10.4 "Cache Flush on Failure Indication" in RFC 6762:

The software implementing the Multicast DNS resource record cache should provide a mechanism so that clients detecting stale rdata can inform the cache.

I've been searching for a way to do this with Avahi but I haven't found one. Have I missed something? If not, would it be possible to add this feature?
