Extension of the dictionary to cover the new Hungarian orthography rules (AkH. 12., 2015) was supported by FSF.hu Foundation, Hungary (http://www.fsf.hu) between October, 2017 and May, 2018.

= Usage =

Filter bad words from a text file:

cat x.txt | hunspell -d hu_HU_u8_gen_alias -l

With suggestions:

cat x.txt | hunspell -d hu_HU_u8_gen_alias -l

or install the dictionary files hu_HU_u8_gen_alias.aff and hu_HU_u8_gen_alias.dic, for example, in the place of hu_HU.aff and hu_HU.dic of a LibreOffice installation.

Morphological analysis (see man 5 hunspell):

$ echo szó | hunspell -d hu_HU -m szó st:szó po:noun ts:NOM al:szavak

$ echo szótár | hunspell -d hu_HU -m szótár st:szótár po:noun ts:NOM al:szótárak hy:3

Install all components

make menu # optional: use to change the modules to be included make all # compilation make install_all # installation make clean # remove temporary files

Install for Ispell only

make menu # optional: use to change the modules to be included make ispell # compile Ispell dictionary affix and hash file make install_ispell # install magyar.hash, magyar.aff in ISPELLDIR + links make clean # remove temporary files

Install for Hunspell only

make menu # optional: use to change the modules to be included make myspell # compile hu_HU.aff, hu_HU.dic for Hunspell make install_myspell # install hu_HU.aff, hu_HU.dic in MYSPELLDIR + links make clean # remove temporary files

Install for LibreOffice only

make menu # optional: use to change the modules to be included make myspell # compile hu_HU.aff, hu_HU.dic for LibreOffice make install_OO # install hu_HU.aff, hu_HU.dic in LODIR make clean # remove temporary files

Destination directories

To change default destination directories for installation, some variables need to be set:

ispell ISPELLDIR PREFIX/lib/ispell myspell MYSPELLDIR PREFIX/lib/myspell LibreOffice LODIR $(USER)/libreoffice/dictionaries/hu_HU

for instance by passing them to make make ISPELLDIR=/home/bela/ispell

install_all or make PREFIX=/home/bela
