Option to group todos by page title
Thanks for this plugin, it is very handy.
I will keep a file per project with notes and todos. I would like to be able to see my todos organized by project. e.g.
Instead of this:
- [ ] write proposal
- [ ] Do something
- [ ] Do another thing
- [ ] Something else you must do
- [ ] And do it again
- [ ] write proposal
- [ ] Track down a thing
- [ ] Followup on another thing
- [ ] Invent something new
It would be helpful to see this like to see this:
Project Alpha
- [ ] write proposal
- [ ] Do something
- [ ] Do another thing
- [ ] Something else you must do
- [ ] And do it again
Project Beta
- [ ] write proposal
- [ ] Track down a thing
- [ ] Followup on another thing
- [ ] Invent something new
Hey @clscott, thanks for your report. This is definitely something I would be interested in adding.
There are some questions around the feature I'm still thinking about. Maybe you have some thoughts on them too?
- Would you always want to have your tasks grouped by file, or would you want to be able to toggle this on and off in the UI (instead of one-time in settings)?
- For users that use the daily notes plugin: should we group all tasks in a daily notes file in 1 group ("Daily notes") or should they be split out across separate notes?
As a user of Daily Notes, I would appreciate very much a creation of a group "Daily Notes" with the multiple todos grouped by title (wich in this case is a date)
Count me in on this one! I have a note created by each project I'm working on and I add to-dos on each note. When the to-dos are all together in the plugin panel I can't tell which to-do is from which project until I go to the note using the arrow. Having a title of the note between to-dos would be a huge time saver.
