char-spacing adjustments

Hi,

I tried the last release (from the release branch, also from the site) and I noticed that the contextual char spacings (adjusting char positions depending on the surrounding chars - wide or narrow) didn't work anymore (compared to previous builds). Tested it in gedit and konsole with the same effect. Is this intentional?

I have the same thing, but the examples on website worked until I installed the latest font locally.

However, I used one of the variant fonts; could it be that the variant fonts don't have the contextual char adjustments?

EDIT: Actually, the code examples still work, but the description text (black text on white background) doesn't. Huh?
