Verify if Kalibr calibration is working correctly

Open Kazadhum opened this issue 9 months ago • 3 comments

Since we're working on adding alternative calibration methods to ATOM (#891), we should also check if Kalibr is working correctly...

I'll start doing this tomorrow, and I believe the first step is to create a yaml file that describes the cameras. I'll include an example of this yaml file in the other_calibrations folder, in a subfolder called "kalibr_camchain_files" or something similar.

I just realized that Kalibr's camera calibration only works for multiple cameras, so it can't be used to calibrate riwmpbot. I can, though, be used for zau.

For now, I just added an example "camchain.yaml" file as I said I would. I can't test right now since my datasets folder is still synchronizing. In the meantime, I'll start work on the Ali et. al Hand-Eye calibration

You could make a test using rrbot to make sure its operational.
