Switch gnome virtual desktops while tilda is open grabs cursor and induces errors

Hi!

My setup is as follows:

  • Ubuntu eoan (19.10)

  • gnome 3.34

  • tilda 1.4.1-2.1 (from ubuntu eoan repo)

  • 2 monitors (internal laptop + external HDMI)

  • Tilda opens on the external one (which is "on top" in my case)

  • Important note: gnome only manages virtual desktops on the first monitor, the second one is global and have the same apps all the time (this is standard gnome behavior, not something I changed). I don't think this would change tilda behavior since it would stay on top of everything anyway, but it may be important to know that it opens on the external monitor and therefore is positively not affected by virtual desktop changes because external monitor does not change anyway.

This is the scenario which it misbehaves:

  • Tilda is open on the external monitor
  • Browser is open on internal monitor on virtual desktop 1
  • Shell is open maximized on internal monitor on virtual desktop 2

I want to switch back and forth between browser and shell (and for this I use gnome hotkeys). Everytime I switch between the two virtual desktops, tilda grabs the cursor (gains focus) so although I can see the other app on my screen, everything I type goes to tilda. I expected focus to be switching only between the two apps I want (the last one that had focus on each virtual desktop).

This induces error because it takes a while to see that I was typing in the wrong place and go back and undo changes there.
