Question: Plagiarism Checks

Open Opfour opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

Hi,

Love this program, bought it, and use it daily alongside of Grammarly (your plugin is my goto checker). Thing is, when I receive a technical article to check, LT is fantastic at pointing out grammar, syntax and other issues but, I have to use the app.grammarly.com page to check for plagiarism on every article.

Is a plagiarism check a feature that's being considered at any point in the future or is there a way to implement an API which pulls from an open/free service like https://unicheck.com/plagiarism-checker-api so that I can get away from Grammarly altogether?

I'm speaking to my sysadmin who runs my servers to see if we can get this software installed there and manage it ourselves as the writing/terminology we often use is way more technical in nature. Because of this, we have a custom rule set which we'd like to expand and share here for others like us... Thoughts?

Just want to add my 2 cents

I would love to see a plagiarism checker in LanguageTool, I think it would benefit a lot of people
