Steps to reproduce
ask the AI to answer in a code block for excel, it will answer you, but the copy-paste doesn't work. the format is wrong somehow. I think the issue is with the code block.
✔️ Expected Behavior
I can copy the AI answer and paste on excel/g.sheets to ease my work
sample: VICTOR HUGO M. DA LUZ 04/04/2024 NOTURNO VICTOR HUGO M. DA LUZ 11/04/2024 NOTURNO VICTOR HUGO M. DA LUZ 18/04/2024 NOTURNO VICTOR HUGO M. DA LUZ 21/04/2024 NOTURNO VICTOR HUGO M. DA LUZ 28/04/2024 NOTURNO
❌ Actual Behavior
doesn't paste on excel correcly. it pastes on the same cell the whole content, instead of breaking columns and lines. same prompt works on chatgpt.
The issue you're experiencing with copying and pasting code blocks into Excel might be related to the delimiter used in the generated content. Excel typically expects data to be separated by specific delimiters like tabs or commas to correctly parse it into separate cells.
To resolve this, you can try the following workaround:
-
Check Delimiters: Ensure that the AI-generated response uses a delimiter that Excel recognizes, such as a tab (
\t) or a comma (,). You might need to adjust the prompt to specify the desired delimiter. -
Manual Adjustment: If the AI response is not using the correct delimiter, you can manually replace spaces with tabs or commas before pasting into Excel.
-
Excel Import Options: Use Excel's "Text to Columns" feature to manually specify the delimiter after pasting the content into a single cell. This can help split the data into separate columns.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find specific information on how Dify handles delimiters for Excel compatibility, so these general suggestions might help in the meantime.
