getting the same issues when i try with wikipedia url. i use this sample link "https://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soekarno". have you find how to tackle this issue?
the model cannot handle such long messages. How is langchain handling these exceptions? Should it catch them and convert them to explicitly declared langchain exceptions?
I also encountered this problem, but I haven't found a solution yet. I only asked 1+1, and this error occurred. I want to know how to see the content of prompt and completion when he said that the length is exceeded.
Hi, @xfocus3! I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the LangChain team manage their backlog. I wanted to let you know that we are marking this issue as stale.
From what I understand, you encountered an error where the model's maximum context length is exceeded. The suggested resolution is to reduce the length of your messages. It seems that other users, such as hanifabd and GeneralLHW, have also encountered the same problem and are looking for solutions. User karpanGit suggests handling these exceptions in langchain.
Before we close this issue, we wanted to check if it is still relevant to the latest version of the LangChain repository. If it is, please let us know by commenting on this issue. Otherwise, feel free to close the issue yourself, or it will be automatically closed in 7 days.
Thank you for your understanding and contribution to the LangChain project!
