A while back I had the exact same idea that you had; make a dsl to do all my dirty work. At this time I was writing Flex applications; and I made a dsl to specify the application; and they the program would use that specification to generate the entire application. It was in interesting idea, but Flex and Flash kind of faded away. However I'd still be interested in porting it to Rails, or JS. The concept is MetaModels rather than just a dsl, almost like pre made code building blocks. And they are executable. Check it out.'
