What is the way forward docker-lambda or AWS SAM CLI?

Please let us know what you are thinking is the way forwarded regarding docker-lambda and AWS SAM CLI. Are there different use cases that you would recommend using one over the other? Should I transition to AWS SAM CL? What is the future of this project?

It must be aggravating and flattering at the same time that Amazon replicated/stole your work/concept into an "official" release. Thank you for creating this solution before it was available. Wonderful work.

I've used docker-lambda specifically because it ran FAAS perfectly in a offline docker environment in "stay-open" API mode.
