@Auk14HP I'll try setting up Punch on a Windows 7 machine and see if there are any issues. Last time I checked on a Windows 8 tutorial did work fine.

Meanwhile, you can use a cloud based dev environment like Nitrous.IO to try out Punch.

Can you explain bit more about the use case? If your snippet is a plugin, you can create a property for it config.json and toggle it between development/generation.

Yeah, dot files inside templates are ignored by default. You can write a [generator hook](https://github.com/laktek/punch/wiki/Writing-Generator-Hooks) to manually copy the `.htaccess` file when generating the site.
