Anime support?

Open SubNoizey opened this issue 11 years ago • 11 comments

Any chance for Anime support? I assume Sickbeard anime dev won't be getting an update due to you now working on this and i'm sure it will make a lot of people happy if XDM supported anime similar to how your sickbeard branch did.

yes but wirst it will support TV the milestone for this is 0.6 but i will integrate XEM into it therfore anime support will be much simpler anime should then be its own mediatype

tbh i dont know how complicated this will be it might not need any changes to the core of XDM or it might be a complet new set of functions

ps i will oly try to fix "merge bugs" in anime_development branch and merge that with the master fromt there on future merges with the main repo should be more fluent ... but if i recall correctly someon already took that branch and merges with his and might continue on it ... TODO: find branch / repo

Do you need help with anime support?

definitely ! i would create its own mediatype manager just like "tv" you can find tv at https://github.com/lad1337/XDM-main-plugin-repo/tree/develop/TV

somebody has made one.... https://github.com/groenlid/xdm-anime-plugin-repo

@Nonobis holy cow !

we definitely need a better way to publish these repos / expose them to the public ... i am open for ideas

edit: this does not look finished .. the searchTerm for example is still the season based number and not absolute i guess he is still working on it

Hi guys. I wouldn't use my repository for anything. It's just a first attempt at anything python-ish and more or less a copy of stuff already in xdm-main-repo with minor changes.

But I do hope anime support is on lad's radar for the next couple of versions since that will probably be xdm's killing feature for many. :-)

I'm still looking into this - I just need to wait until my winter break to attack it. :) Probably push something out in the new year. On Dec 11, 2013 12:16 PM, "Mats Groenlid" [email protected] wrote:

@ groenlid : Maybe it's finished but it's a try. :)

@lad1337 : Maybe a centralized repo ? Developper could make a pull request on your main repo for centralize all plugins ?

Nonobis avatar Dec 11 '13 18:12 Nonobis

@Nonobis there is my main repo and could create a third-party repo ... but that leaves me in the middle and that eliminates the idea of multiple repos mhhh it should also be able to be machine readable so XDM could get the lists of repos

i could setup a simple form that allows one to add the meta.json url and xdm gets that ... plugin devs would still need to add the url to the central list .... and it would again leave my service / form as a single point of failure maybe i am overthinking this

ps i am right now setting up https://xdm.userecho.com/ might be better for ideas ... also feature voting :)

lad1337 avatar Dec 11 '13 19:12 lad1337

@lad1337 : yes i like the concept. A form to send info and xdm who automatically add the json on the interface. All centralized and very little management for you.
