Feature Request - Update ability within app

It would be nice to update the app from within itself just like how sickbeard/couchpotato work.

Before this can be done I would want some kind of status message system to display messages in the GUI ... In a way a combination of what sb does with the update message and these growl like notifications

Then I would add a hit updater and only that for now ... I don't see any win or mac builds soon
