Cant edit Group Id with string instead of int

Describe the Bug

Cant edit Group Id with string instead of int: I want to give the polygon some descriptions ,so one solution is putting description in the Group ID at the right box, But I cant put any not-int char in the Group-ID-box ， If anyone konws how should I change something or any other solution? Thanks a lot
