HTTPS certificate error

When I enable HTTPS for my web server the certificate it generates says its invalid because its security certificate does not specify Subject Alternative Names.

Certificates are given to named servers... If you access by IP, any cetificate won't be valid until the user says they trusts on the web. If you have a domain and make it points to your IP and then configure a proper certificate for that domain, it will work.
