Incompatibility with MOTU low latency drivers

Description of the bug If you use backgroundmusic with the MOTU M4 usb audio interface and its low-latency drivers, and select M$ as output device, the sound is crackling a lot and seems to be up-pitched by one octave (mickey mouse + crackling).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Borrow an M4 Motu Audio Device
  2. Use ARM Mac and macOS 12 or higher
  3. Install MOTU drivers https://motu.com/en-us/download/product/410/
  4. Select M4 as output device in BackgroundMusic
