I tried pkg and brew. Neither is working on my Apple M1.

I also got some problem. In particular after the installation the app worked for like 2 seconds and then all the audio output from the mac was off. I tried both with normal mac speaker and Air-pods pro, when I switch between the 2 output source I can ear the sound for like 2 seconds and then nothing, no sound from all the apps.

I am using bluetooth headphones. I'm having the same problem. 2 sec. Change the output device. Do this several times, problem is solved.

I met the same problem, when i switch the output device between airpods and mac, the sound will appear for just 2s and mute again. I also tried several times, but it did not work.

install via homebrew, manual install or build + install as per instructions in readme are not possible for me on Ventura 13.3.1 with MacBook Pro M1. Newest Xcode Version 14.3 is installed.

Error while install xcodebuild: error: 'BGMDriver/BGMDriver.xcodeproj' does not exist.

I've installed it via brew install --cask background-music and once opened all sounds stop. Once I quit the app the sound was back.

The issue was fixed once I've selected the Rosetta option within the app's Get Info menu.

But when I'm using bluetooth speakers (sony wf-1000xm4) the sound is "breaking".

Macbook M2 (pro), with Rosetta 2 installed.
