Kernel takes 20 minutes to be ready

Problem description

Running stata_kernel-1.12.2 on a RedHat Entreprise Linux 7.8 with Stata 14.2 IC and python coming with Anaconda, the stata-kernel takes for us a minute with the message "Starting kernel" and then it takes 20 minutes to have the kernel ready to process commands. During this time the dot next to Stata is full and says kernel is connected.

When the dot center turns white then all seems good and fast. image

Starting Stata from the console is instantaneous.

Any hints on where to look at why it takes us so long to have a responding stata-kernel ?
