This is already implemented i believe. using `hijack_directories` and `nvim-tree-vinegar`. Closing since it seems multiple tree states is not in the near roadmap.

no i've stepped back from maintaining plugins lately, someone else can take the lead on this.

Hi @expipiplus1 Unfortunately I've stepped back developing and maintaining neovim plugins, and so any ongoing work was deleted some time ago.

i'm not sure this should be implemented here, maybe plugin authors using this could manage it themselves ? So just a documentation improvement would be needed ?

send a PR it's not quite complicated (if a teal icon exists though)
