Notification icon need not be everpresent
The notification icon is always present, and changes state when the update service is actually doing something. This is probably unnecessary; it would be better to only show a notification during a send or sync. If the notification icon is intended to provide quick access to mobileorg (for, e.g., capture), it should be optional.
+1
Sorry about delay,
Maybe it's a good idea to remove icon when app is in idle state, but there is one case when I need it: I can find information about last sync/next sync from status bar
I think making it optional would be the best solution. I personally like it, but I absolutely understand people who don't want it to take up screen space.
I second (third) this. This kind of notification should always be optional.
I just logged in to create such an issue and found this - count me as a +1 - there is no need for the notification icon - certainly if the sync is in idle or is set to manual. Thanks!
