Windows 10 Virtual Desktops and the apps listing

Open elig0n opened this issue 6 years ago • 3 comments

For using Windows 10's Virtual desktops feature it would be more useful to have Switcheroo only show the apps that are part of the current virtual desktop without the rest, or at least have all the apps organized in a beneficial way, i.e: current VD group of windows will show on top and then other VD's groups in a sequential order.

Otherwise it's hard to tell if the application that i currently hover on (could be in 2nd, 3rd place) is in my current VD at all. And even plain quick alt+tab can take me outside the current VD and... out of focus.

Very good idea to somehow support virtual desktops in Switcheroo :+1:

I don't (yet) use virtual desktops, but please send a PR if you start working on this, then I'll try it out and send some feedback 😄

If such behavior is going to be implement, please make it optional. For example, I use virtual desktops feature in W10 and it is very comfortable for me to have the list of windows from all VDs as Switcheroo brings the user to the VD where the window is located and not just opens window on the current active VD. Very cool feature I think.

same, this would be so much more useful, it curently doesn't work for virtual desktops at all
