M1 Multicore or Singlecore

I successfully built Element on an M1 MacMini and I can load AU intel Plugins with the OSX AU Rosetta2Wrapper which is great! Native M1 Plugins also work nicely. Performance seems to be very good. One question: Is Element spreading the Load among several CPU Cores or is it single core on the M1? If it is singlecore, is multicore support an option in the future?
