Strict jbuilder dependency

Bookable requires 'jbuilder', '~> 1.2', which is too strict as current RoR skeleton requires '~> 2.2'. Currently I am using fork, which fixes this. But I would like to use gem instead of git source.

Is there a solution for this yet? I presume I could fork it and change the dependancy but would also like to use the gem rather than git source.
