No Output + Parameter Choice

I'm trying to segment the following mesh (it's a hard drive with components) into component meshes.

In, short I'd like to have this:

I am Ubuntu 18 and I followed the instructions, however, after several seconds of processing, I see no output, nothing pops up. Does this mean that the mesh segmentation failed? What are the parameters that I need to adjust, and how can I know what value would fit the best for my case? I do know the number of components/segments I need to have, but others - no clue.

Any idea?

Does your cursor turn into a small black square with a number in it? That's a rough progress estimate in percent. Possibly your mesh is too big for the algorithm in its current state. Other than that there is some output if you look in the console (on Windows choose "Windows -> Toggle System Console" in the main menu).

The parameters should only change the result of the segmentation, not if it is a success or not. You can hover over the value to get a popup with a description of each parameter.
