Project abandoned?
Hey there, just wanted to ask if the project is abandoned because there seems to be no activity.
I was really happy when I found this project(because it theoretically solved most of problems i am facing), but it seems to be abandoned, as @mrkwtz commented. Any answers?
I believe a bunch of us have moved to other lives, and the original corporate sponsor disengaged from this from a product perspective.
I think the goals of KUDO still remain - creating a high level way of managing complex applications on top of Kubernetes. I'm happy to keep fostering this or help someone come up to speed with the goals of the project and maintain them.
@mrkwtz @odorT what would you like to see?
I was searching for best application manifest management tool to use in enterprise grade, and KUDO fit all my requirements, except one - continuous development and maintenance support. So I moved to other options. Thank you for your answer @gerred. Next year, I will think about to spend my time on this project
@odorT That sounds good - this isn't a project that can be maintained by one person, especially if they can't put all of their time to it. We've had a LOT of ideas about what KUDO could do for applications what Crossplane does for Infrastructure. Happy to chat more!
I created a PR to remove KUDO from the Kubernetes docs: https://github.com/kubernetes/website/pull/46390
Feel free to add it again, if the project is alive again.
