HA Kubernetes Cluster : Do we really need HAproxy as L4 LB

Hi,

In Set up an HA Kubernetes Cluster Using Keepalived and HAproxy, the docs explain how to set up KeepAlived AND HAproxy.

In the example, HAproxy is configured with mode tcp option, making it act as a Layer4 Load Balancer. Since KeepAlived can completely act as a L4 LB, do we really need HAproxy in this example ?

If the answer's yes, which feature does HAproxy L4 provides, which is not available in KeepAlived ?
