create a new resource doesn't work properly

Describe the bug 1- generate random negative values for the resource 2- cannot delete the resource file 3- cannot save the resource file

thanks @mortada-codes - perhaps we can tune the random-value generator to not generate negative values!? regarding the other two issues - those are definitely bugs that should be fixed
