REQUEST for kustomize logo design proposals
We are seeking submissions for the kustomize logo. I would like to make a decision by the end of November 2025.
If you have any logo ideas, explain them here, maybe someone else can turn it into a design. Or sketch your idea on a piece of paper and post it here.

Hi. Nice initative. I think the original logo nicely present the layered orientation of Kustomize and it should remain to emphasize that. Also kustomize uses the concept of patches so it could be in form of patchwork ;-).
So some kind of layered logo or patchwork.
Combo of "K" and Spanner as symbol of kustomize would be great. May be we can add kubernetes theme of colours to it like below.
Edit: spanner/wrench is an inspiration from @libregd designs, which is also a great design. The idea of spanner symbolising kustomize is really good. I believe that spanner has to make into final design, irrespective of final design selected.
My logos are combinations of ai prompts and my crude photoshop skills. Will update with svgs later on.

There are three proposals: A, B, and C. It's clear that C is an extension of A, incorporating the outer contour of Kubernetes to enhance the sense of cohesion. Overall, within this design direction, I personally prefer A, but C does align more closely with the spirit of the ecosystem.
All three proposals currently focus on core concepts only — curve refinements and other details are yet to be polished.
I'm also very interested in the direction @dosmanak suggested — "patches, patchwork, and layered orientation."
added: I've explored this direction a bit and came up with three concepts: D, E, and F. To be honest, they feel somewhat conventional. Among them, I have a slight preference for option F.
@libregd I also like the F variant. But perhaps make the letter also layered in colours as I tried to suggest in my issue.
I have another try in my issue #6006 with focus on layers.
EDIT: I have added a full text logo and also the dark variant..
