Add additional cluster templates for real world scenarios
User Story
As a user I would like to have additional template choices for various deployment scenarios
Detailed Description
- HA Control Plane vs Single Control Plane
- Support for configuring custom subnets
- Support for metalLB through ClusterResourceSet
- Support for CNI through ClusterResourceSet
/kind feature
https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/cluster-api-provider-packet/blob/8b8829c0a04bd72f48ef5ffa14e84fe79cd2c9e6/templates/cluster-template.yaml#L29-L36
This snippet that configures the HA Elastic IP should be refined so that it's more aware of different linux distros (centos vs ubuntu). Restarting the networking service is unnecessary as well since ifup lo:0
would work just as well in the case of the current configuration with ubuntu.
My proposal is to replace that whole snippet with this:
ip addr add {{ .controlPlaneEndpoint }} dev lo
It's not a persistent method but I don't think that is an issue here and should work with most linux distributions. It also doesn't require restarting the network service.

This is a really good idea, but we need to heavily lean on kustomize so that we minimize template maintenance toil.
The Kubernetes project currently lacks enough contributors to adequately respond to all issues.
