Support Policy for AWS EFS CSI driver

Open shazib-summar opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

Hello just had a question regarding the currently supported versions of EFS CSI driver.

For EBS CSI driver, the support policy is N-1. Is this the case for EFS CSI driver as well?

Thanks ❤️

Hi @shazib-summar,

We don't have an official/binding support policy yet for the driver. However, we are currently only supporting the latest version.

If we release a new major version which is backwards incompatible and has a high migration effort, we will consider supporting the previous major version as well, like EBS. However, we have not had to this yet, as we strive to make changes in a backwards compatible manner.

Thanks @RyanStan for the help. Should this be added to the docs or the repo readme. This would be helpful for the community at large. I would be more than happy to make a PR.

Regards

Hello @RyanStan. Any updates on this? I would be more than happy to create a PR to add the support information in the readme
