Istio 1.10 compatibility with any versions of kubeflow

We are deploying kubeflow for a enterprise use-case, just wanted to try out kubeflow 1.4 on istio-1.10. v1.4 and v1.5 kubeflow manifests are bundled with istio-1.9, istio-1.11 respectively, can I use isito-1.10 for both versions?
