Why you need this feature: Public docker registries are not a good option for cyber. In most cases, K8s clusters are private in a controlled environment in/out. Having public registries it's a nightmare for security. One option is to remap (pull/re-tag/push), change yaml files and use private trusted registries. Is just a find and replace solution, right? But is not. Some KF apps are dynamically created (KFServe, sidecars etc) and the whole find and replace will not work. This one small feature will make a big impact.
