Broken Clone and Spot tools

Using either the clone or the spot tool are not working properly. I have to lower the opacity level and than back to 100% to get either to work when moving the copy source(cross hair) of the tool in order for the tool to take affect. I'm getting an "asyncRepaint failed" error message, if that means anything. This is using the latest version of 4.2.4.
