Lightzone freezes after one image save

I have Windows XP 7 home edition. I just updated to the newest version of the software. I don't know if this is related, however I've never had the issue in the past, however when I save an image, it won't let me browse again unless I kill the Lightzone process and then reopen it - whereupon I can edit one more photo until it freezes. This is quite frustrating and I don't think it's my computer's specifications as I have a i7 4th generation processor (sandy bridge) with 8gb of DDR3 RAM.

Suggestions/recommendations appreciated as this is quite frustrating!

Just to clarify, is this Windows XP or Windows 7?

Which version of Java are you using?

Version 7, Update 67 for Java according to the, 'about java' icon.

It's Windows 7 home edition.

Thanks for such a quick response, it's really dragging down my work on a photo shoot. :)

Updating to the newest version of Java didn't seem to help. (In fact, the "ABOUT JAVA" button won't pop up. Weird. I'll try rebooting my computer.)

Now it's the newest version 8 revision 66. It still doesn't work right. I've uninstalled, reinstalled and rebooted my computer more times than I'd like... Even reinstalling 4.0.0 hasn't helped.. Weird how it worked just fine yesterday...
