German Umlauts

Hi, great plugin, thank you. But in my case, german Umlauts do not work correctly, even if they were written as i.e. "ö" or as "ouml;" Screen shows: "Pers�nlich" and "Persouml;nlich" How can I fix that?

Are you getting the content via ajax? If so, I'm guessing that there is a mismatch between the content type stored in a database and the content type of the page that is displaying the tooltip.
