Encoding is wrong

Encoding is wrong for non-ASCII characters. Examples are ÜÖÄß, which come out garbled. Please fix, thank you!

Duplicate https://github.com/kspearrin/ff-password-exporter/issues/10 ?

That issue is closed? It shows a workaround (btw, converting with Notepad++ didn't work), but the issue still exists. You suggest opening the file as UTF-8, which of course I did.

Same here a password like "8ik,7ujm" is exported as "Y\rñçS»K\u0001½¾ËÌ©¼". Same for usernames.

Issue is still active for me. I have ascii in username and password after exporting to csv. I tried method with Notepad++ but didn't work.

Should I reopen my issue?

Yes.

By the way I added 500 URLs/usernames/passwords from Firefox to keepass manually on a rainy day. Took some hours but i am safe now and no codepage conflicts ;-). I am using kee to Connect Firefox and keepass yet. Will never save any passwords in FF again ;-)

Does https://github.com/kspearrin/ff-password-exporter/commit/149878a196177426592ef20e5f25a9e184865d30 solve the problem?
