lingering /opt/kroleg/mc/bin in PATH

Open azadkuh opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

Hi,

after uninstalling your *.dmg package, the /opt/kroleg/mc/bin still exists in my PATH, reopening and even rebooting the machine makes no difference.

i have also checked:

  • ~/.bashrc and ~/.profle
  • /etc/paths and /etc/paths.d/
  • /etc/profile and /etc/bashrc

and there is no /opt/kroleg/mc/bin in any of those files.

PS: both Alacritty and Apple Terminal have this issue.

is there any other file that your installer touch?

Hi, Amir Zamani.

Check files

~/.profile ~/.bash_profile ~/.zprofile ~/.zshenv

thank you, found it in ~/.bash_profile.

would you please update the README.md and note all the changes that your installer make? esp when the uninstaller script does not automatically revert those changes.

Hi, Amir!

I have updated builds MC-4.8.25 for x86_64. The uninstall script now removes the absolute paths from the above config files that were written when MC was installed.
