Updates
Hey Kristov, are you planning on releasing this tool? Would be very useful, even if it's still in alpha.
I too would love to take a look at this. "A tool for analyzing SharedCoin and other CoinJoin-based mixing protocols will be released approximately two weeks following this advisory", and the date on the advisory is 2014-06-09. Are you still planning on releasing this?
Thanks for letting me know about your interest. The code requires a little bit of cleanup before being released, and it's just been repeatedly pushed down by other side projects. I have a couple things that I have to knock off that list first, but I'll try to get something out as soon as possible.
Checking in for an update
I'm also curious if there is an ETA, thanks @kristovatlas.
@orweinberger @gdcbyers: Don't know if it helps but, a while ago, someone posted on reddit a version of coinjoin-sudoku written in Matlab: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2qz89f/blockchaininfos_sharedsend_inputoutput_matching/
Code is clear and has a few comments allowing to understand the logic of the process.
Just one point: this code is written to analyze sharedsend txs. Therefore, it makes the hypothesis that there's 2 actors and that all mining fees are paid by one of them. This hypothesis may be "wrong" for others coinjoin txs.(more than 2 actors, fees shared by actors, ...)
Hey @LaurentMT, thanks for posting that. I was actually trying to find it recently :)
I assume they are actually targeting SharedCoin; Shared Send was an old, centralized mixing service that Blockchain.info ran that has long since been taken offline.
Hi Kristov, My bad. Yes, it's for SharedCoin. Things move too fast in Bitcoinland and I get old. ;D
@orweinberger @gdcbyers I'll be releasing something relatively soon.
Thanks for the update @kristovatlas
Kristov, I'd also love to see this. Thanks.
