--log-file argument causes rsync to fail

I have been using the log file argument in a product distributed to hundreds of thousands of users for over a decade and from macOS 15.4 it is failing because this argument is not supported by openrsync.

Could it be possible to do the following:

  1. Continue with the sync operation if this argument is present, ignoring the argument?
  2. Support this argument and generate a log file?

Hi, I'm happy to help! Please contact me from the email address on my linked website and we can take about supporting this.

Please keep in mind that I have no relationship with apple--I can only support directly from this repository.
