Hi! :) Just for the record, there are some efforts in porting the sauerbraten client from SDL1 to SDL2. I've just build it on my system, seems to work better now.

Good to know, thanks. Emscripten's SDL2 support isn't finished yet, but in progress, so eventually hopefully it will all be ready.

Tesseract also uses SDL 2.

It's very unlikely that the original Sauerbraten will use SDL2 anytime soon. It's also unclear if there will be a new release anyway. A lot of the client mods use SDL2 and also Inexor.
