this occurs during the extrapolation ($|\alpha|>1$) and it's not particularly clear what happens immediately at the boundary. But I suspect this fix should make the two equivalent.

I was just porting over the ATLAS style, but this had matched.

Can confirm that it works on arm64 mac-osx (see the [log](https://gist.github.com/kratsg/ff5fd87947051793ea3be869bbf0f354) for details). It looks like you'll need the fastjet package included for it to be able to work.
