We need the actual source code from Char.ai not this!
I demand the community to find a way how to extract the source code from that stupid site. I don't appreciate their notorious censoring and being run by Google programmers. We must find a way to make Char.ai ours with complete freedom! I don't want to pay up their subscription for the features we want. They suck for not creating the thing we want because they don't care about our demands and only aiming towards family friendly nonsense for the sake of profit instead of waifus!
I don't really think this issue belongs here. If you'd like to request something from Character.AI themselves, you should go through proper channels here instead, as this repository is not maintained by Character Technologies, Inc. But otherwise, yea, I agree. Enshittification is just so wrong for so many different reasons. You could also attempt starting a petition on change.org. However, they're not legally obligated to do anything + it's their Intellectual Property, they actually have so many rights over it, even if they make it "open-source," they could put it under any license or no license (meaning all rights reserved).
