Making the right touchpad act as Right Stick but only when pressed

I'd like to keep the haptic feedback always be active regardless of whether the touchpad is pressed or not, but only have the emulated stick movement be active when the touchpad is clicked down. However; whenever you select the Right Stick output for the right pad, the Require Click option in the More... menu is greyed out and can not be selected.

Is this a technical limitation? Or am I missing something.
