possibility to create a full host
Good afternoon:
First of all apologize if I do something wrong. But it is not my intention.
I would like to ask you if it would be possible to join all the hosts : https://github.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/tree/master/hosts in one for better protection and to be able to use it for example in adaway.
Thank you for your time and help.
Thanks for your suggestions, however, currently I've already created one-pack hosts file here that gathering certain commonly known hosts file (and also hosts files from myself) that aim to use with apps that can import one hosts file at a time, with some exceptions.
- Aggressive hosts are not included (it's possibility break certain functions of big tech apps)
Googlekeystroke suggestions not yet merged in there, but plan to do...
I don't know is AdAway also support multiple source to merge hosts file like other apps (e.g. pDNSF, Nebulo, DNS66, Blokada, etc.) or not, can you suggest which hosts files are fine to merge and suitable for you need?
Good afternoon:
First of all thank you very much for your help and time.
I did not know that I already had a host where I included https://github.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/tree/master/hosts . Which includes the lists that appear in the table below.
I have been using leftover host on my mobile for a long time. But leftover aggressive (I used to use it too). But if I remember correctly it was abandoned. Because there was even a topic in the xda forum that said so. Where the developer told me to remove it because it was no longer supported. I didn't know he was still supporting it. The weird thing is that as much as I look I can not find the topic right now. And I never had problems with the two still on. Or with the aggressive one on.
And I was looking in my answers on xda, and in some topic. For example in Adaway or others. I was recommending to use those filters. And I see it already had to be you to talk to.
The aggressive version can be set without problem. I used it for a long time. As I told you, until the creator told me that he stopped supporting it and put the normal one.
That's why I don't know if I could also integrate hosts_google_hotword.txt and hosts_leftover_aggressive.txt along with the https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kowith337/CustomHosts-via-hostsmgr/unarranged/hosts.txt
I still have the leftover from that one. And I just saw that you are the developer. Jolin what a small world it is.
The truth is that your hosts are a marvel.
In adaway you can put different links. And he removes the repeated ones. And it creates the host. As I told you I had the two leftover. But I found your other host files and I wondered if I could merge them all into one so as not to have so many sources. And have only one.
A big hug and thanks a million for your time and help.
Pd: I would also like to suggest a new repository for your hosts. If you allow me. The host source I am referring to would be: https://www.github.developerdan.com/hosts/ . Which I think could be a good addition.
- No, I'm still maintaining but due to I've clean-up both of my notebook and phone lately, gathering many things to resume is a bit hard and doesn't have much spare times because of main (labor works) job.
- I have none of any external accounts except some mainstream, e.g.
Facebook,Google,Twitter, etc., so I don't know who will talking and thinking about me and/or repo, though, but I'll still keep in focus.- But gathering more ads and/or tracking hosts to block and update here is probably out of sight for me at this time, currently I'm focus to
ThaiConsentHoststhat aim to block AOC/CPA contents, now most of mobile users in my country are got attacked by fake loan and gambling sites that promoted through SMS, iMessages, RCS, Line Chat, etc.
- But gathering more ads and/or tracking hosts to block and update here is probably out of sight for me at this time, currently I'm focus to
- To merging both leftover and aggressive into one hosts file are okay, but I may change to other filename, e.g.
hosts_all_leftovers.txtto easily identifying. - The next commit in my
CustomHostswill be add hotword blocking soon, to full fill things that I've warned there. - As I remember, I was use some Daniel's hosts before, include main hosts and
AMP, but due to probably hosts files were moved and I cannot let generated hosts file use up to 10MB, I need to cut down some hosts sources and switch Daniel's main hosts to 1Hosts instead.- But thanks to you for reminding back, I will re-introduce his
AMPhosts again for my one hosts file repo.
- But thanks to you for reminding back, I will re-introduce his
Good afternoon:
Well, if it wasn't you. I don't understand. Because there really was that post on xda. And even on github. Where he put the creator, or supposed. That he stopped making the aggressive list and use the other one. Even before on the filterlist website there were both versions of leftover. And now there is only one.
I also tell you more, I did not dream about it. Don't even think that I am making it up. Let's see if I pull backups and see which one I put (developer, or supposedly).
But I even looked at a copy from last year and the link to leftover had your name on it. So I can't tell you.
Comment that I put the host you told me about you https://github.com/kowith337/CustomHosts-via-hostsmgr and perfect. And I put the link of https://github.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/blob/master/hosts/hosts_leftover_aggressive.txt and also very well.
If I could, there is no hurry. If you could, there is no hurry, just join your hosts in a single link. It would be a good idea and I also think less work for you. Because there would be less iists to modify. But I don't want to avoid the idea you have.
I don't know if you need any other source for your hosts. For example some good ones to avoid telemetry, google and others https://gitlab.com/Jorgu81/hosts . Or https://orca.pet/notonmyshift/ or https://github.com/infinitytec/blocklists and StevenBlack https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StevenBlack/hosts/master/alternates/fakenews-gambling-porn-social/hosts and those of 1 Host as you say.
In what I can and know how to help do not hesitate to tell me.
Best regards
Good afternoon @kowith337
In reviewing the sources I have I noticed you had yours:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/master/hosts/hosts_leftover.txt
For a very long time.
And in putting the list you recommended me:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kowith337/CustomHosts-via-hostsmgr/unarranged/hosts.txt
I see that in the source of previous hosts, inside it is https://gitlab.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/raw/master/hosts/hosts_leftover.txt, that if I am not mistaken is the same of https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/master/hosts/hosts_leftover.txt
The only difference is that one is from github and the other from gitlab.
Then having https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kowith337/CustomHosts-via-hostsmgr/unarranged/hosts.txt I could delete https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/master/hosts/hosts_leftover.txt , since this last one is included in the first one?.
Thanks a lot for your help and time.

- Every hosts you've suggested will be reconsider later...
- I think it's not good to upgrading UnifiedHosts for more aggressiveness yet, please think about possibility of another users may also use my host file pack too, example the
socialone.
https://github.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/issues/73#issuecomment-946723209
- It's depend on you that having one hosts file and add some additional to fulfil you need of protections, even myself are start from known packs and add some hosts that they've missed due to uncommon or country-specific (like me that I've try to gathering some Thai ads/tracking hosts as much as possible)
- Yes, some of my repo also mirrored to
GitLab, but it's may slower approx. 3~5 minutes after commit.
Note: I think we can consider to create issue over there or let me transfer issue from this to that?
Good afternoon @kowith337
Thank you very much for your help and time.
I don't understand what you mean by: UnifiedHosts . Sorry for my clumsiness.
So by having your host from https://github.com/kowith337/CustomHosts-via-hostsmgr ,I can delete the one I already had from github https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kowith337/PersonalFilterListCollection/master/hosts/hosts_leftover.txt . From what I understand from your answer I think so.
I apologize for my mental slowness at the moment.
There is no problem to move it or create it as you say.
Best regards

That's correct, since the main leftover hosts already merged into one-pack hosts, there's no need to load dedicate main leftover hosts again. Thanks for your support.
Good afternoon:
First of all thank you for all your work and help.
And thank you very much for the clarification. I apologize, as I am a bit thicker. Than a big plate of pasta.
You don't have to thank me, of course. Whatever I can do to help, I will be happy to do it.
A hug and a million thanks for your help and time.
Pd : I don't know if I can help you: https://github.com/anudeepND/blacklist , https://github.com/kaabir/AdBlock_Hosts ( https://github.com/kaabir/AdBlock_Hosts/blob/master/source.txt ) , https://blokada.org/mirror/v5/exodusprivacy/standard/hosts.txt
You can add another hosts as additional for your side, some hosts that you've suggest also used on my environment but currently not apply into pack, the fact that I've created that for aim to support only an app that cannot load hosts file more than one URL, another apps, extensions and/or clients can add that pack along with other lists as well, if they're supported to.
